Correctly Politically

12/19/2007 - Credit where credit is due

Last night on 12/18/2007, Ron Paul was interviewed for a full hour on The Glenn Beck show. Credit to Glenn Beck for doing the interview, and giving Ron Paul the courtesy to respond to the questions without interuption. It was an excellent interview, and for once Ron Paul got a pretty fair shake. In fact, yesterday Ron Paul got a pretty decent amount of coverage, though the Fox And Friends appearance was lame thanks to the terrible panel that hosts Fox And Friends. We've got a candidate for once who is ready to legitimately deal with the problems we face, meanwhile the rest of the mainstream media is too busy clamoring about Mike Huckabee and his Christmas video. Come on friends, let's wake up and elect Ron Paul as the Republican candidate. I can guarantee you it will be politics as usual if anybody else gets elected (other than Mike Gravel ;).

12/16/2007 - America is ruining itself by people voting on electibility

Friends, I just want to emphasize that if you are one of the many people who casts a vote based on keeping the other candidate out, you are doing no favor to this country. By not voting on your principals, you are treading on what you believe in and giving in to the pressures of the media. This subject has always made me sad, because I think it would disappoint the Revolutionary War heroes who laid down their lives. By keeping these crooked mainstream politicians in power, you are only slowing down the pain of our current state, and causing it to be drawn out longer until the day that we finally are brought to our knees. Quit letting the media tell you who can and can't win. Please respect the liberties that the U.S. offers us, and vote for the candidate that you WANT to win.

12/11/2007 - I'm trying to learn

As a big Ron Paul supporter, I decided to look more into some of what he says regarding the U.S.'s monetary system. I took Economics in college, but I didn't pay enough attention and didn't care at the time. I've read numerous articles and watched videos about our monetary system and the FED. So far I'm shocked and can't believe it isn't taught. I want to say that I am also trying to read on opposing points and theories. I was one of those people out there who if asked, "where does the U.S.'s money come from", I would have said the government. I am blown away by the way that money comes into circulation in our country. I was also surprised to learn that the Federal Reserve is a network of private banks whose members are not known. I was also another person that if asked, "where do banks get the money they loan", I would have answered, from the customers who make deposits into their bank accounts. That is not the case. Banks can conjure up an amount of money needed for a loan based on a ratio of actual funds they hold. So if you deposit $100 into your account, and the bank uses a 9:1 reserve ratio, they can literally out of thin air create $900 to loan out. Like I said, I'm trying to read about different schools of thought, but what we are doing now seems ridiculous. For anybody who doesn't know much about the FED, or how money is created, I highly recommend a documentary called FIAT Empire. You can find it on Google Video.

12/01/2007 - Ron Paul and Mike Gravel, candidates of truth

This past week's CNN YouTube Republican debate disgusted me. It underlined even more how much CNN, like a lot of the mainstream media, is out to push THEIR own hand picked candidates. First off, that debate was nothing more than to make the Republican candidates look like gun toting, homophobic, bible beating, confederate flag waivers. These are the weak issues that traditionally have made the Republican party look unappealing. Out of about 5,000 questions submitted to YouTube, the best they could come up with were one's like "do you believe in every word of the bible", and "How many guns do you own?" We also stooped down to the hypothetical level asking a loaded question like "If abortion was illegal, and a woman still had one, how would you punish her?"

Beyond these terrible questions, what was even more disturbing to me was how much CNN targeted questions to THEIR selected top tier candidates. Folks, I think we are in a lot of trouble. I know this is probably said every election, but I honestly believe that America is at a tipping point with the large problems we face. We've got foreign relation, healthcare, and immigration problems, and we the people don't even truly get to pick who is going to run for president since the lamestream media is doing that for us. It's bad enough that the presidential election is a 2 partied system where a lot of people just vote to keep the other candidate out, but even in a general election, the lamestream media is telling us who is popular and telling us who won't win. Everybody always said it's all about money that a campaign has, but I'm starting to really wonder if that's the case. Through fundraising, Ron Paul is raising as much as the lamestream candidates through a grass roots campaign, but yet he still doesn't get a fair shake on the television debates. He happens to dominate all other candidates on the web, an uncontrolled media that unfortunately only the youth seem to grasp.

I'm a huge Ron Paul supporter. To me, he is the only honest man that speaks truth on the Republican side of the primaries. Though I disagree with a lot of their economic views, Mike Gravel and Dennis Kucinich are the only truth speakers I see on the Democrats side. I consider myself a Libertarian and I have supported the party for the past 8 years. A lot of people tell me I waste my vote by voting for the Libertarians, but comments like that sadden me, because change takes time and sacrifice, and no revolution can happen overnight. Ron Paul and Mike Gravel are the breath of fresh air I've been seeking since being old enough to vote. They may disagree with each other on views, but when you are at that level of honesty that those men are at, and you're not in anybody's pocket, it becomes more real and easy to open the floor for a genuine debate, instead of the carefully designed horse-races that we get today. I will continue to support Ron Paul and donate to his campaign. I also hope to see support for Mike Gravel, because he is obviously the only candidate of truth up for election on the Democrats side. I hope we will wake up and realize it was never supposed to be like this.
